please-anonymize is a file anonymization tool that replaces personally identifiable information in uploaded files with synthetic data. The service is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind.

Your responsibilities

• You are responsible for ensuring that your use of anonymized files complies with your own data handling policies and applicable laws.
• You must not upload files containing illegal content or files you do not have the right to process.
• You understand that automated anonymization may not catch every instance of personal data. You should review the output before sharing it.

No guarantee of completeness

While we strive for thorough detection and replacement of personal data, we do not guarantee that all PII will be identified. The anonymized output should be reviewed before use in sensitive contexts.

Free tier limitations

The free tier allows up to 10 files per hour with a maximum file size of 10 MB. These limits may change at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, please-anonymize shall not be liable for any damages arising from use of the service, including but not limited to incomplete anonymization or data exposure resulting from user error.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
